Why I'm hereEdit

Hi, welcome to Government Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the User talk:AnupamSaraph page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Uberfuzzy (Talk) 19:36, 12 May 2009

So, looks like you're bringing in the content of the Public Accountability wiki. Is that right? Chadlupkes 20:14, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
That's it, and that's why I mentioned politics without including issues in the meaning. The officials must be discussed in terms of the issues. I imagine this will result in cross-links to the other political wikis. --Jesdisciple (talk) 20:19, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Boy, wouldn't THAT be nice.  :) Chadlupkes 20:28, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Rick Perry article Edit

You say "Someone recently edited Rick Perry and caused an error in Template:Term to propagate there. I'm rusty on semantic syntax but I took a look anyway and didn't see anything that looked wrong. "

I've looked at both and the Perry page history and can't see even an error (apart from the non-semantic note about there being no "ref" tags). What exactly seems wrong? (Incidentally, being a follower and enthusiast does not make one "adept" at SMW.) -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 03:00, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

Noted your reply. Eyes started glazing over. I wouldn't have known enough to think of saying "My best guess is that SMW might operate before parser functions now?". Blind leading the blind? I may look at the details if you can't get help from anyone else. If you can catch Familypedia's current moderately proficient template-handlers in a good mood, you might get one of them to shed some light. User:Thurstan in Australia and User:rtol in Ireland. (And maybe you don't keep up with SMW matters with the mailing list? I do but most of it's above my head.) -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 06:42, August 23, 2011 (UTC)

A quick look, and breaking down the queries shows that {{#show:Governor of Texas|?Term offset}} returns "2" (currently ""). Property:Term offset agrees that only Governor of Sandland has the property set. I have always found that one of the big weaknesses of SMW is that you can't trust the "Fact Box" for a page to actually represent the facts that have been saved for the page (and which queries will see). If it were my problem, I would resave the Governor of Texas page (with a trivial edit). I would also consider resaving the Property:Term offset page with a trivial edit.
