Just a special space in an urban place -- this is a small wetland with flapshell turtles, moor hens, shikra etc. It dries up in the summer but becomes magical when the rains come. The children of Pawar Lane and Gulmohur Park removed garbage and put up a sign proclaiming it their very own protected area. Flapshell Turtles live here (see location on wikimapia)

The numerous streams running from the Baner and Pashan hills into the Mulla River are also a major part of the regions groundwater recharge system.
